The National Safe School Response Coordination Centre (NSSRCC) is a Critical Component of the Implementation Strategy of the Safe School Programme in Nigeria. The establishment of the centre at the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Headquarters is in demonstration of government resolve to address the serious challenges of school attacks and their consequences that have thrown a large number of children out of school in Nigeria.
The centre is saddled with the responsibility of coordinating responses to school violence and attacks using a whole-of-society approach. This collaborative approach is aimed at bringing every relevant stakeholder on board while attempting to provide protection for schools and host communities.
All agencies, government and non-governmental organisations, international and local institutions are therefore invited to support the centre to realize the mission of providing safety for schools and host communities in order to guarantee a seamless learning process in Nigeria.
